In collaboration with Michal Škapa, one of the most acclaimed figures in Czech contemporary art, Dechem Studio has created a limited series of vases that merge the language of street art with the tradition of Bohemian glass. At the heart of this project lies Škapa’s distinctive visual vocabulary, translated into glass through experimental techniques that explore both surface and form.
This collaboration emerged from a shared ambition to bridge the raw, dynamic energy of urban expression with the refined craftsmanship of Czech glassmaking. Under Dechem Studio’s curatorial approach, Škapa’s bold artistic gestures find new resonance in the medium of glass, transforming each vase into a unique dialogue between art and design.
The resulting works will be unveiled at Kunsthalle Praha, offering a glimpse into the vibrant intersection of contemporary art and traditional craft.
