BURNED LANDSCAPE VASE DECHEM presents Burned Landscape, an experimental exploration at the intersection of fire, glass, and drawing. In this work, molten glass is pulled directly from the furnace and drawn across the Bandaska shape. The heat of the still molten glass reshapes the original form of the Bandaska. The Bandaska vase is hand blown into a beech wood mould. The simple yet elegant lines are inspired by the common forms of traditional metal water and milk jugs that have been used in Czech households for centuries. We intentionally work with small Czech workshops and follow an on-demand production strategy for many of our products.
